Going Home
The second day started out very busy. My doctor had to come in. Your doctor came into check on you. You had to have your hearing tests done and you had to have some more bloodwork. I thought daddy was going to hurt the lady taking your blood. You screamed for what seemed like forever while she took blood from your foot. Needless to say your daddy did not like this lady hurting his little girl even if it was for your good. The nurse came in and told us we could go home today. It was a mad rush as your daddy was ready to get out of there and get you home. You were happy until I put you in the carseat. Not a happy camper. You calmed down a bit while we took our ride down to the car. We got downstairs and your daddy was waiting with the car. You took your first ride in a car. Yes it was just like you hear in stories. Your dad was driving all slow and worried about everyone else driving. He didn't want anyone to hurt his little girl. We got home and everyone stopped by to see you. It was a crazy afternoon everyone was here and I was tired. I was happy to have you home. Needless to say your dad and I were in love and happy to have you in our arms.
The First Real Day
The first day in the hospital with you in my arms. I remembering waking up and still not believing where I was and that you were in the room. You slept a lot. You were so small and I was still learning how to feed you. After several attempts, you were losing weight and I had to give you some from a bottle. You were now 5.9 and I was worried. I knew you were tough, but you were so small and could not afford to lose anymore weight. We had a busy day. The doctor came and saw me. Your doctor came and saw you. There were blood tests. Daddy ran to the house to grab your car seat. You had to have a special test for babies born early to make sure that you would be ok to ride in your car seat. During the day and evening you had a ton of visitors. You passed your car seat test. Woohoo we can take you home tomorrow. We were excited. You had the cutest little cry. I was so soft, I was afraid I would not hear you when you woke up. You had a great day and we were ready to get home and get started on our life as a family of three.

The First Night
There were a bunch of people in the room waiting to meet you. Finally you made your appearance into the room. You stole the show as you still do. It was very surreal. I finally had my baby. I could hold you and cuddle you in my arms. You were so small. I had never held a baby that small. Your daddy picked out the cutest little yellow hat for you to wear. The nurses called it a flower pot. It had been a long day and mommy and daddy needed to rest. Mommy tried to learn to feed you and then we took a nap. I was so worried I don't think I slept much. You woke up a couple more times to eat and I tried to learn how to feed you. You also had to have some extra tests since you were born early. I was tired and the morning came early, but it was so worth it to have you in my arms. I love your daddy very much and you made us a family.

At the Begining
Since I am late starting this I want to go back to the day you born. Wow baby girl do you know how to make an entrance. It was the morning after the baby shower everyone had for you. It was a surprise to say the least you were not due for another month. I had fallen asleep in the bed and gotten up as it was getting very uncomfortable to sleep in the bed to move to the couch. I did sleep off and on, on the couch. Well I got up to go pee (another nightly ritual that I had) and went to sit back down on the couch and waddled quickly back to the bathroom. I wasn't sure, but thought my water broke. After a couple of minutes I was sure my water broke. That was at 2:30 in the morning. I called the doctors and they weren't sure, but said to come in to the hospital they would check me. Your daddy and I drove to the hospital and yep my water did break and you pooped. Well I couldn't leave the hospital and I could not walk around. I was going to have you no matter what that day. You decided to stall and finally made your entrance into the world at 7:58 that night. Some say that you waited till everyone got there. You see since you were not suppose to be here for another month everyone was getting in their last minute trips and business meetings before your arrival. Everyone finally arrived and an hour or so later so did you. I was scared they told me they would not make you breathe right away since you pooped in the water. They pulled you out and I remember you so small right in the doctors hands not breathing. They passed you over to the waiting respiratory team and in the pass you started to cry. That is when everything came into focus for me. Yes you were ok and oh by the way did they say girl. Yep you were my baby girl. For 8 months I didn't know if you were a boy or girl and now there you were. I was so excited I wanted to hold you. Your daddy went over and started taking pictures and looking at his baby girl. He was in love. You stole your daddy's heart. You could see in his eyes how much he instantly loved his beautiful baby. Finally I got to hold you for a minute or two before they had to take you to the nursery to get checked. Oh you were so cute and small. Just six pounds and everyone thought you were going to be a gigantic baby. 6lbs 19.5 inches long.
