Worst Injury to Date

Ok so yesterday was the worst injury to date.  This little girl is going to put more gray hairs on my head, Clairol I;m coming.  She was in a laundry basket.  I don't know she climbs on everything.  She decided to stand up in the laundry basket and over it went.  Now we have a black eye or at least a black and blue mark over her eye.  She was on Bandit's bed on the carpet.  How she fell on two soft things and hurt herself I don't know.  I guess she gets it from her mom.  She is climbing and standing on everything.  She is very stable when she stands, that's not the problem.  The problem is getting back down.  She finds something on the floor that she wants and can't get down.  She will lean over and her hand can't hold her up and reach the floor.  We are still working on letting go and sitting down on your bottom.  Hopefully she will get it soon.  We had a nice weekend.  She is still coughing and has a runny nose.  Still no fever, so we will just hope it will go away soon.  After 3 weeks I hope it goes away soon.  For her first time being sick, wow it has gone on forever.

Baby Girl,
I love you very much.  Could you please stop giving mommy little heart attacks though.  You are one determined little girl.  I know that whatever you put your mind too it will be done.  I hope that attitude stays with you.  With that attitude you will go far.  I am sure that will mean you and mommy will butt heads.  It's ok mommy can take it or at least I hope I can.
Love,
Mommy

First Real Meal

Ok so she has eaten little pieces of food, but she has never not had baby food and just eatin real food for dinner.  Tongith was the night.  We had pork chops with cream peas and noodles.  What a perfect meal for her.  She had peas and noodles for dinner.  She loved the peas.  Not a surprise there, because peas are her favorite baby food vegtable.  The noodles were tricky, because they are sticky.  Wow say that 3 times fast.  Another big change.  No we are not giving up on baby food yet, but it was a move in that direction.  The changes seem to be coming fast.  I hope she doesn't grow up too fast.

Munchie,
I just want you to know I love you, no matter how gross you get when you feed yourself.  You have mastered smearing pea goop all over your face.  Well you weren't to sure about the cream in the peas touching your hand at first.  Needless to say you got over that when you got one in your mouth.  You love some peas.  Well baby sweet dreams sweetheart.
Love,
Mom

Your Room

Munchie spent her first night in her own room last night.  Let me explain this room.  I had this great idea for a Jungle Room.  If you know me then you know that no good can come from this.  I always have some wild and crazy idea.  I researched everything and could find exactly what I wanted.  Then I saw these animals and fell in love.  I started tracing them and thought those were easy, so 2 animals became 9 with a tree.  Well painting was not as easy, but me and her painted away.  It did get harder the bigger she got and then the bigger I got.  Painting 7 months pregnant is hard to move around paint. I think it turned out great.  When she goes up there I love it, because she waves to the animals.  Her face just lights up.  I was so worried that I had takin on too much and wouldn't get it done.  It is all worth it now.  Well after 8 months my little girl didn't sleep with me last night.  She did great.  We set up the monitor that Emily let us borrow.  It works great.  I can hear more than I did when she slept with us.  I was worried, because she is up stairs and the complete other side of the house that I would not hear her.  She did cry at nap and I can't hear her if I am in the bedroom, so good thing for the monitor.  The new morning routine is going to take some adjustment and some stairs, but we will get used to it.  I think she can sleep better too.  She doesn't have to hear daddy snoring (sorry babe) and the dogs moving around.

Munch,
Baby girl mom was worried, because this means you are growing up fast.  I want you to get bigger, but I don't want you to grow up to fast.  Well you amazed me even last night and today.  You went to bed and took your naps in your room by yourself with no problem.  Now you get to look at the monkey while you sleep.
Love,
Mommy

Three to Six Months

Little girl you are getting bigger.  You can now hold your head up and smile.  You start rolling over right after you were 3 months.  You are ready to go and don't want to just hang out on your back all the time.  You are still a prefect little angle.  I mean seriously everyone says you are the best baby ever.  The only time you get upset is if it is time to eat.  Well that seems just natural.  I get pissy to when I get hungry.  I had to start back to work.  Wow was that hard.  I cried the week before because I was going to have to leave you.  You survived and are having lots of fun with your Aunt and YaYa.  It is a good thing you are such a good baby, because mommy is exhausted.  At 4 1/2 months you start to get mad that you were just rolling on to your tummy.  You dig your toes into the floor and push.  It won't be long before you start moving.  At 5 1/2 months you start eating food.  You hate cereal.  We now know that you need some fruit or flavor in it.  I tasted it before fruit and I don't blame you, it's pretty gross.  At 6 months you are now up on all fours and are trying to move forward.  OMG you sleeped through the night once or twice.  Mommy didn't realize how tired she was until I got a whole nights sleep.  Did I tell you how beautiful you are?  You can stop people in their tracks.  Well you do stop people in their tracks.  Everywhere we go we take two to three steps and someone stops us to look at you.  We are used to it now and just go along with it.  We went to the home show and it took awhile to get around for the amount of times we stopped for someone to look at you.  I love you sweetheart and I hope you always know how beautiful you are.  You are still daddy's smiley girl.

The First Three Months

I am trying to go back and fill in the gaps. The first 3 months after bringing you home was a whirl wind of activity and new experiences. I stayed home with you for 10 weeks. I was very tired, but very happy at the same time. See I thought I was going to get things done in those 10 weeks. I was going to paint rooms, organize the house, and clean clean clean. I thought you would sleep and I would have nothing to do, so I would get things done. I was wrong, but I was so glad for the time we got to spend together. You were a great baby. At the begining. I had to wake you up every three hours and feed you. You had lost weight in the hospital. You went from 6lbs. to 5.9 in 24 hours. They were worried you were not getting enough food. My milk had not come in yet and you were not feeding right. So I mixed breastmilk and formula and made sure you ate every three hours and all of your food. At your first appt. 48 hours later you had already gained weight and were 6.5lbs. That's my girl showing everyone that you can do it. In the first three months you were an angel. There we lots of night with you sleeping with me on the couch. I know I shouldn't have, but we had a good plan and you were very still. You also slept in a cosleeper next to me. I was so afraid to cover you with a blanket that something would happen. You gained weight and by the end of the 3 months you were down to waking up once a night. We went to bed a 11 and then you woke up at 3 and at 7. We spent our days hanging out, sleeping, and having lunch with daddy. Boy do you love your daddy. You first smiled at him and he continued to be the one thing that could make you smile like no other. Just a little secret. The same could be said about him. You made him light up like I have never seen. The man that tried to be so hard core turned into mush around you. He was so afraid he was going to hurt you. To tell the truth you looked so small in his arms. Your feet barely made it to his elbow when he held his arm out. It was a lot of learning and new experiences in those first 3 months, but I wouldn't give them up for anything. I love you little girl.

Accident Report

It is with sad news I received what will sure be the first of many accident report. 11/3/10 was the date. We received a note from school today. You were standing up and fell and hit your head on a cow xylophone. You have a small cut under the eye. :( You seem to be no worse for wear and are your normal happy self.

Catching Up

Oh my gosh have I been neglecting this blog. Not because I don't want to remember, because you are getting big fast and I am afraid I am going to miss something. I seems baby girl that you on the move. You came into this world early and ever since then everything has been early. You crawled at 6 1/2 months, pulled up to stand a couple of weeks ago. Now you coming quickly crawling across the playroom to the gate to pull up on the gate and jabber away. You get so upset, because you have learned to get up, but can't get down on your own. Baby girl you are growing up so fast. I can't believe you are 8 months old now. I love you more than I can ever explain. You are so beautiful inside and out. I love your laugh and giggle. Well till next post baby girl. It won't be so long in between time this time.
